James Cooper’s ten plus year career in business has included sales and marketing, business development, business process improvement, product development, business coaching, team facilitation, business consulting, business strategy design, business systems and automation, and personal effectiveness. He has worked in organizations ranging in size and scope from manufacturing and distribution to consumer finance to retail organizations. James’s experience also includes a successful start-up organization within a large multi-national organization right through to small family run businesses.
James has led, both as a business coach or business consultant, a significant number of small business marketing and sales improvement initiatives with documented results.
Before founding mimosaPLANETTM, James owned and built a successful business coaching practice. There, he worked directly with managing directors and business owners helping them to grow and improve their businesses, as well as building his own practice from zero to a full book of clients in just two years. Before this James was a founding team member of a start-up consumer finance company, and witnessed firsthand what it takes to take a business from zero to $150 million in loans (small $ value high margin, not mortgages) on the books in just 18 months.
Recently, James structured his business to be able to run remotely from anywhere in the world working just 8 hours per week while still not only maintaining profitability but growing it. To prove the point, for 18 months James lived between 1-3 months in each of the following locations, the Whitsundays in tropical North Queensland Australia, Sydney Australia, London UK, Stavanger Norway, & Geneva Switzerland. Plus James visited numerous other locations across the globe during this time, whilst growing and expanding the mimosaPLANETTM business by opening a mimosaPLANETTM franchise in Norway.
James has delivered presentations and workshops on sales, marketing, teamwork, business systems and business growth over the past 6 years. He has written over 100 articles on sales, marketing, leadership, management, systems and personal effectiveness.
James is a Certified Professional Inbound Marketer with honors distinction. James also is very keen on snowboarding, sailing, golf and tennis, and likes to actively pursue leisure in these areas.
